• Job Title: Senior Software Engineer in Test

• Reporting to: Manager or Team Lead

The solutions built by our Client are used by tens of millions of users every day and our customers include the great majority of key businesses in the gaming field.

Role description:

You will join one of the Scrum teams working on building complex, real-time, low-low latency mobile and web applications used by more than 20 million users daily. On a daily basis you will:

• Design, code and execute automated test scripts for back-end and front-end side
• Develop and execute software test plans
• Collaborate with the developers and product owners to ensure the user story is understood and that the tests track the desired functionality of the story
• Write detailed test cases to drive development and testing the code against the acceptance tests
• Monitor and track test coverage and recommended improvements or changes to developers
• Provide documentation of test results and develop post-test reports

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

• Excellent automation testing skills
• Strong knowledge and experience of API testing
• Experience of coding in Java 8 (in commercial or privet projects)
• Familiarity with BDD test methodologies and tools (eg. Cucumber)
• Understanding of Microservices architecture from a test perspective
• Knowledge of Kafka or similar messaging systems
• Functional and non-functional test skills
• Demonstrable knowledge of software engineering
• Very good English language skills (spoken and written)
• Experience of UI testing would be an asset
